This series ran from 1959-1961

The series “One Step Beyond” ran from January 1959 to July 1961 and was sponsored by Alcoa, the aluminum company.

This particular episode ran four days after John F. Kennedy was inaugurated.

It was the most popular program in the entire series – and also the only one removed from the series syndication package.

Unlike the other shows in the series, instead of being a fictionalized account, this was reality-based and documentary in tone.
