It’s hard to believe but coastal nuclear power plants that are directly in severe storm paths all over the US, even when storms are imminent, are not protected or shut down. This leaves us vulnerable to a nuclear disaster in the wake of any of the the many monster storms that have characterized the weather changes in the past decade.
