Update (9/30/23): I was wrong about US troops needing to get involved, but my primary thesis that the “rebels” were a CIA+news media spectacle and the real work was being done by NATO bombing proved correct. Note that in current reporting, nobody mentions that NATO bombing “in support of the rebels” was part of the equation.
