From the movie “Wag the Dog.”

The president’s ratings are declining right before the election so his people hire a Hollywood producer to create an event to make him look like an irreplaceable statesman.

The event they create is a war based on a bogus threat (“The Albanians have a suitcase nuke.”)They manufacture pictures and news footage to make the war risk look the way they want it to.

Then they create a military hero “William Schuman” who gets captured by the ruthless enemy (See the Private First Class Jessica Lynch fraud.)

Then they created a symbolic act that people could participate in (complete with song): throwing their old shoes into trees, light poles and other power lines as a way to skim a little profit from the operation.

Trayvon Martin was shot to death February 26. Just a few days later on the advice of attorneys Martin’s family filed a trademark application for ‘I Am Trayvon’ and ‘Justice For Trayvon.’
