May Day was created in the US and it’s celebrated all over the world.

But it’s not celebrated in the US.

Why not?

There’s a history.

It started in 1627 – and the Puritans didn’t like it.

Then in Chicago in 1886 there was a movement for an eight-hour work day for industrial workers. The police working for McCormick, a manufacturer of plows, shot four of them.
