Layers beneath layers

There is something clearly very screwy about the presidential election.

First, the candidates. One a crooked baffoon. The other a career political criminal.

Neither is fit to serve. And yet they were nominated by the mainstream political parties.

Second, the blatant shilling for specific candidates by the news media.

Before Reagan, this used to be illegal for TV news. If one side got coverage, the other side was entitled to equal coverage. Therefore TV, even as corrupt as it was back then, steered away from being cheerleaders for either side.

Now the gloves have come off and the various “news” media outlets have become propaganda distributors.
