Who benefited from the recent assassination?

Not the US, that’s for sure

Israel puts the US to work again

It’s generally a good idea when a crime is committed to ask “Who benefits?”

The US news media won’t ask the question about the recent assassination because
they don’t want to know the very obvious answer.

By the way, it’s been reported that the decision to kill Soleimani was pushed by John Bolton and Pompeo months ago.

Soleimani, who flew into Iraq at the invitation of the Iraqi Prime Minister as part of negotiations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, was murdered January 3, 2020 by a drone attack after his plane arrived in Baghdad International Airport.

Soleimani worked with the US to fight the Taliban. He also defeated ISIS in several critical battles in Syria and Iraq.

The US declared Soleimani a terrorist and justified his murder on that basis.

In a recent interview, the US Secretary Defense Mark Esper said that if Soleimani was a specific threat to the US, he wasn’t aware of the details.
