“To ‘steal’ an election is to mock the very foundations of democracy itself and with it every human right and community aspiration.” Ken McCarthy, E-Media

The price people pay for free and fair elections and what it means not to have them

  • Wei Jingsheng was jailed in 1979 for his poster calling for democracy and free and fair elections in China. Since 1994, this man, winner of the Olof Palme Peace Prize in 1995, the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 1996, and a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize has disappeared in the Chinese prison system.
  • The world protested, but the unelected government in Nigeria hung writer and Nobel prize nominee Ken Saro-Wiwa for daring to organize his people for justice in their own country.
  • For every freedom fighter whose name we know, there are thousands in prisons and graveyards all over the world. To tolerate election fraud in the U.S. in the face of such sacrifices is unthinkable. Therefore, we are currently following a disturbing story of alleged election fraud in the city of San Francisco, California very closely.

Free and fair elections: A fundamental human right

from the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS adopted and proclaimed on December 10, 1948, the General Assembly of the United Nations.

“Article 21. (3) The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of government; this will shall be expressed in periodic and genuine elections which shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret vote or by equivalent free voting procedures.”

Action steps:

1. Inform your friends that the 49er stadium election results are suspicious and merit investigation
2. Call and write the editors of the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner and tell them to fulfill their responsibility by giving this important story the coverage it deserves.
