Willful blindness

The universal problem

“If it were really dangerous,
someone would have told us”

Famous last words:

“If it were really dangerous, someone would have told us”

But that’s not how it works, is it?

Human beings have a capacity for “willful blindness” – to tolerate, even accept and protect things we know are damaging and unjust.

Is this an American problem?

Yes – and a Swiss problem and a Germany problem and a British problem and a Russian and Chinese problem too.

But some people see clearly and are willing to speak up.
